Heritage Homes, a new home construction company specializing in custom home building throughout the region, is proud to announce that Tyrone Leslie, Chief Operating Officer of Heritage Homes, was recognized as the Home Builders Association Member of the Month for February 2007.

Member of the Month is a designation sponsored by the Fargo Moorhead Home Builders Association to recognize key volunteers and supporters for worked performed in enhancing the role of the HBA throughout the community along with overall member benefits. At the end of the year, an “Extra Mile” Award is given to one of the Member’s of the Month.
Tyrone has been a member of the HBA since 1998. This year he is serving as the Chair of both the Public Issues Committee and the PAC Committee. He has been a key supporter of the HBA’s fundraising for the North Dakota Builders Association of the Builder’s political action committee (NDAB-PAC) and the National Association of Home Builders political action committee (BUILD-PAC). He was a “platinum” contributor in 2006, single handedly raising significant donations for the “PAC Perks” program and helped to raise several thousand dollars in Pac contributions. Tyrone also takes an active role in the HBA’s legislative efforts on issues that will impact the residential construction industry. He has traveled to Washington, D.C. on behalf of North Dakota builders and worked with Senator Kent Conrad on EPA issues.
“I want to take an active role in the HBA and try to make a difference,” Tyrone says. “My favorite part of participating is to know that I am helping make that difference in the building industry. I feel honored to be a part of this fantastic organization.”
