DARYL BRAHAM GRADUATES FROM INAUGURAL NATIONAL ASSOCIATION OF REALTORS® LEADERSHIP ACADEMY

(FARGO, ND) Daryl Braham, a Broker from Fargo, ND is a graduate of the inaugural 2008 National Association of REALTORS Leadership Academy. REALTORS? were selected from an application process by an advisory council for the premier session that started in Chicago during August of 2008 and concluded last week at the association’s May Midyear meetings in Washington, D.C. The selected volunteer leaders worked in teams on a project that was presented by them to the NAR Executive Committee. The Leadership Academy was formed to identify, inspire and mentor emerging leaders for the organization. The Leadership Academy will develop the volunteer leader’s knowledge of the organization at the national level. Congratulations to all of the Academy participants.

Daryl Braham, a real estate professional for 9 years, is Pres & CEO/Broker of Prudential LRES Realty as well as Pres & CEO for Heritage Homes, a new home construction company, both from Fargo, ND.

Daryl helped lead a group from North Dakota when Heritage Homes was chosen to be the builder for ABC’s hit TV show Extreme Makeover Home Edition in 2006. Coordinating close to 4,000 volunteers to build a home for a needy family in only 4 ½ days was an extreme experience to be sure, and took incredible leadership to make happen. The build was in Minot ND was the furthest any builder had gone from their hometown to do a build for the show. That was until the show called them again to help build a home and a church in the hurricane ravaged area of New Orleans. Heritage Homes was a part of a national coalition of only eight other builders selected by the show for the season finally to their 50 state tour which aired in May 2008.

Daryl, born in a small town in Manitoba Canada, moved to Fargo, ND in 1997 and immediately gained his real estate license. Only a few months later he became the Broker for the organization which and has grown from only 2 agents to over 20 and over $50M in sales and still growing. Daryl also became a US citizen in 2005 in what he says was a very educational and humbling experience.

Daryl is currently a member of both the North Dakota and Minnesota State Associations, and has been a member of the NAR since 1998. He currently serves on the Business Issues and Multiple Listing Issues Committees, as well as National Director representing the state of Minnesota.

On the state level, Daryl is actively involved in both ND and MN, serving on multiple committees in both states, along with chairing several committees in ND. He is currently the nominee for VP of ND for the 2009 leadership year. On the local level, Daryl was President of the Fargo-Moorhead Area Association in 2006-07 and has been on numerous committees and actively involved since 2000.

Active in community and local affairs, Daryl has served as community association president, as a director in various local groups, and has been involved with local government committees and active as a state delegate as well. He, his wife Stella and their two children reside in Fargo, ND.
